Every once in awhile you come across people that just needed to be in your life at a certain time. You never really know why you were lucky enough for it to happen, but you are grateful they were there. Selina Sturgis and her Exit Realty team was that for my family and me. I don’t why I was so lucky, but I know how everything happen. We are a military family that is moving to the Valdosta area, but not before one of us must take a yearlong remote tour away from the family. We planned on securing our forever home near the Valdosta area and moving our family while I was away to make the transition as smooth as possible. We located our property with Selina’s help. She provided excellent advice on an offer and direction to go with the house. Our offer was accepted and we thought we would be able to close rather quickly, but ran into some issues with closing and the lender requirements. This is where Selina went above and beyond to help a family that she had only met showing a house. Time was not on our side as I was getting ready to leave and we had not closed on the house. I was forced to cross several borders not knowing how this would all end. This created a logistical nightmare for everyone involved. Selina reassured us, stepped up and took care of everything that allowed things to be as smooth as possible. Her expertise, patience and persistence is what allowed us to close on a house we chased for 5 months. Selina spent countless hours late into the night and early mornings sending emails/text to a family that was out of state and country to keep us up to date and moving forward. Our family cannot say thank you enough for everything that she did and sacrificed for us. I honestly don’t think we would have our dream home for our future if it wasn’t for Selina and Exit Realty. As I said, I don’t know why but Selina was the right person at the right time to care of us I am just grateful she was the one to be there. Publilius Syrus has been quoted with saying “Anyone can hold the helm when the sea is calm”. Selina is not just anyone and proved she can hold the helm through the toughest of waters and storms as she did for us. No matter what happens, I am sure Selina can handle it in the most professional and personal way that is needed to ensure you are taken care of. To the Goldstons she is not only our Realtor but our saving grace.
